In January 2013, Help Me Grow Alameda County in California published the first edition of its monthly newsletter.
The newsletter covers the Help Me Grow Linkage Line, the system’s central point of telephone access, and includes the most recent Linkage Line data report.
Another highlight is the Family Resource Network of Oakland, California, an HMG Alameda partner. FRN is a community-based organization that has been supporting families of children with disabilities and special needs since 1992.
The newsletter also shares the story of a mom who successfully used HMG to help her son receive services for his language delay.
Finally, the newsletter shares information about the statewide Help Me Grow California Learning Community, which is designed to share information on Help Me Grow, provide subject-matter expertise, establish peer learning and promote the dissemination and implementation of best and promising practices.
